I thought this book would have the generic fairy tales in Japan. There are a lot of myths I haven't heard of before and while I enjoy reading new things, I was hoping for the fairy tales in Japan everyone knows about.

Both registration and sign in support using google and facebook. Rather a dry book, but a good introduction to some major patterns in Japanese fairy tales/5. At all times, among my friends, both young and old, English or American, I have always found eager listeners to the beautiful legends and fairy tales of Japan, and in telling them I have also found that they were still unknown to the vast majority, and this has encouraged me to write them for the children of the West.
